Sexy and charismatic, Ryan looks for pleasure however he can find it in an effort to silence his own inner demons. Until Amelia crashed into his life the only thing he chased was the next wave. Refusing to break their connection and determined to break through her carefully crafted walls, Ryan sets out to throw out every rule in her book and show Amelia that pleasure can't be planned.

Reviews

Amelia is struggling with some issues brought about by some past traumas, and is working through her depression. She takes on board the advice of her therapist, and this starts her on the way to recovery.

After one false start, she meets Ryan. He takes her under his wing and helps her work through all of her self-imposed sexual rules. But Ryan lives in the moment and while Amelia’s feelings are deepening, she isn’t sure if he’s capable of commitment. Also, is he really who she thinks he is?

There are many lighthearted and happy moments in this story, plus some deeper soul searching, and there are a few heart wrenching, tear inducing parts as well. The story is beautifully written, and I highly recommend it!

This was a really sweet book with a unique backstory to the heroine, Amelia, who is working through depression. I was impressed with the honestly that was written about the condition without making the story a downer. It was very enjoyable with some fun moments and humor. Ryan, the hero, had a backstory that didn’t overpower Amelia’s but added a lot of interest.

I absolutely loved Ryan, he was perfect for Amelia and it was adorable when he revealed when he started having feelings for her. They had amazing sexual tension and it was great seeing how Amelia got more confident in breaking all of her rules.

This is the start of a series of three standalones, and I’d totally read more! I loved reading about Amelia’s journey with depression with her hot Sun God.

Author Bio

Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves - even if it means letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avid reader from a young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it's Top Gear. Or Football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing about the men you fantasize about. She's unapologetically sarcastic and notoriously terrible at comma placement.

Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all things. When she's not in the writing cave you'll find her fangirling over Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of outdoors on canvas.
